My Goals for My Work:
I enjoy working with individuals of all ages and am most passionate about working with children and families. I value the therapeutic relationship and work to foster a safe and trusting environment with each client. I appreciate each individual as a whole being and work within a client-focused and strengths-based framework.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Ouachita Baptist University and my Master of Science in Counseling from the University of North Texas (UNT). During my time at UNT, I received extensive training in play therapy and parent training.
My experience includes individual counseling with young adults at the UNT Counseling and Human Development Center. I worked as a counseling intern at Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center and served individuals and families impacted by trauma. Prior to joining Pastoral Counseling Center, I spent a year in a private practice setting, working primarily with adolescents and families impacted by autism and divorce.
