My Goals for My Work:
I always think of the counseling role as a compass, providing guidance to those who are trying to navigate through difficulties and challenges they’re facing. My goal is to walk alongside you in a safe and supportive environment- a place where you can dig deep within yourself to discover strength and hope in wherever you are on your journey. I truly believe that the human spirit is boundless, and we will work together to help you find renewal, healing, and growth.
I received both my Bachelor’s in Psychology and Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Stephen F. Austin State University. Since that time, I have worked in a variety of settings, including as a career counselor in a university setting, a therapist at a state mental health facility, a special education counselor for a school district, a therapist/case manager at a mental health and addiction recovery clinic, and a group coordinator at a center for eating disorders. I have gained so much from each of these positions and will work to use my knowledge and skills to help provide the best counseling experience for you.
