This is normal, and in working through these rough patches, we learn to become healthy, resilient, productive, independent adults. My goal for therapy is to work with you in discovering your personal strengths and how to build on them so that you can have meaningful, satisfying relationships and regain your enthusiasm for life.
About Dr. Toler:
Dr. Toler earned her Ph.D. in Counseling from The University of North Texas and M.S. and B.A. degrees from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She has been in the mental health field since 1996 and is an EMDR-trained therapist. She leads a support group for mothers estranged from adult children at Highland Park United Methodist Church, and conducts groups at The Family Place, a Dallas community agency that helps families affected by domestic violence. She has volunteered at the Suicide and Crisis Center in Dallas and is an affiliate of the National Stepfamily Resource Center.
